Cowboy Casanova, er, French Casanova ((Robert, PG-13 just to be safe))

Kalyca paced her room trying to decide want she wanted to do. It was winter break and she had nothing to do that day. Normally she would hang out with friends or go swimming but she didn’t feel like doing either one of those. She was in one of those moods when she just wants to be left alone and really just sit around. Though she didn’t really want to sit around her dorm because if her roommate, Elizabeth, came into the room while she was in there, she would be stuck hanging out with her. Nothing was wrong with Elizabeth; Kalyca just didn’t want to deal with anyone that day. Well, except for one person… “No, I can’t think like that,” Kalyca said aloud to herself.

It was too nice of a day to spend it in her room so she decided to go for a walk. In record time she had gotten dressed in a designer long-sleeved shirt, designer jeans, and her new pea coat and had put on her makeup. She grabbed her purse and put a book in it, just in case, and headed out the door. As she was walking around the school, she put her iPod head phones in and heard Carrie Underwood’s voice fill up the silent campus. “There’s a lot of wonder left inside of me and you. Thank God even crazy dreams come true.” As Kalyca looked around the campus and thought of all of her classmates, she compared her life to the crazy dreams Carrie Underwood talked about. It was amazing how that song represented her life so well. The song talked about people reaching for their dreams, and that’s what people did daily at Greenwood, they were there to get better at their powers.

As the song switched, Kalyca walked up to one of the many fountains on the campus. “He’s a good time cowboy casanova leaning up against the record machine. He looks like a cool drink of water, but he’s candy coated misery. He’s the devil in disguise, a snake with blue eyes and he only comes out at night. He gives you feelings you don’t want to fight, you better run for your life,” right as the lyrics of Carrie Underwood’s Cowboy Casanova played through her headphones, Kalyca saw Greenwood’s own Casanova, Robert Covington. The song was perfect for him, except he would be a French Casanova, not a cowboy one and instead of leaning against a record machine; he was leaning against a tree. In the nine months he had been there he had had more girlfriends then Kalyca had had in all of her four years, and that was saying something.

As soon as she saw him, her heart skipped a beat; it had always been like that. The entire time Robert had been there, he was always trying to get Kalyca to go out with him, but every time he asked, she said no. It didn’t matter what she felt about him, she knew it would end in heart break for her like all the other girls. What the heck? She thought, I might as well talk to him while I’m here. As soon as she thought that, she got extremely excited. She pulled her headphones out and, putting a smile on her face, she walked over to him. “Hey, Robert.”
